Why Study Theology?

In the 1700s Jonathan Edwards lamented the fact that few were interested in studying true theology. At the turn of the 19th into the 20th centuries, B.B. Warfield wrote that there was precious little interest in studying theology. So what can I add to their warnings? Probably little or nothing, but each generation needs to face the seriousness of the issue. In our day and age many churches and Christians pride binary option in tagalog themselves on not knowing or caring to know theology. The current state of the Church of our Lord Jesus Christ is an attestation to the fact that few engage themselves in the studying of theology.

"But why should I study theology?" you ask. It sounds so "technical" doesn't it? But actually theology means nothing more than the study of God and Christians ought to delight themselves in studying Him.

In 1 Timothy 4:16 Paul encourages his young friend Timothy to watch his doctrine and his life closely. You need both to be an effective Christian. Unlike many modern churches, Paul urges Timothy to watch his doctrine. binary options trading in tagalog

What I want to do on this web site is to bring twenty years of pastoral experience to bear on as many aspects of life as possible. When we speak of theology, ethics, finances, or politics our doctrine must be correct.

I can only hope and pray that you will find that the study of God is as exciting as I find it. crypto philippines
